Re: RPG recommendation

Luckily for you, unlike fps and platform games, rps tend to play well on a touchscreen. Should all have high compatibility in normal software mode (opengl mode is a different story though), so no worries there. As for which game, i highly recommend ff7, 8, 9 and chrono cross. Vagrant story is very g...

Re: Final Fantasy IX

Perhaps you should have done your research a bit better before buying a product smokinfish. Fpse plays the vast majority of games fine in software mode, but even so it will obviously encounter problems now and then. There is no such thing as a perfect emulator anywhere, on any platform, and expectin...

Re: pshyco mantis controller port help

Its been a long time since i played mgs but iirc you can beat him without switching port, by destroying statues or something. Also useful to use thermal goggles if you have them. On ePSXe there are always 2 controller setups because on the pc you have the option to play multiplayer with 2 gamepads p...

Re: Latest fpse version force closes on startup

Glad it worked for you too. Seems strange that it should affect fpse; maybe the devs could include a warning about this option in an updated manual/FAQ if one exists.

Re: 7z files

No1lives4ever, if the file is .7z, .rar or .zip then it is a compressed file. If Androzip or the app bluezeak suggested don't work for you then you could transfer the file to a computer and use a program on windows to uncompress it, e.g. 7zip, winrar, winzip. Then transfer the uncompressed file back...

Re: Final Fantasy VII

This isn't really a ff7 issue, more of a general issue with getting roms to work. You need to unzip the file before it can be recognised; try an app called androzip, it should be able to do the job. You should be left with either a .iso file or a .bin file.

Re: Ace Combat 3 radar

I loaded up ace combat 3 to check this and the radar didnt work for me either. I havent played it in a while, but i definitely remember being able to see dots on the radar in software mode before. One of the latest updates must have caused an error in it, which sucks cause its pretty important in th...

Re: Latest fpse version force closes on startup

OK, did a logcat as suggested and managed to fix the issue. There is an option in settings>developer options called 'Don't keep activities' which destroys activities whenever you leave an app; I usually have this checked to save on battery usage. It was unable to destroy the activity and caused a Fa...

Re: Latest fpse version force closes on startup

I am also having this issue with my s2. I have had this problem before when I tried to install the opengl plugin. I would click download from internet, it would download and ask to restart fpse to finish install. I restart and it freezes at the select iso screen. Tried reinstall couple of times, but...
