Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Why would it look better? They emulate old low resolution tvs. I don't think they make the gpu emulation easier. They're kinda interesting, but that's all in my opinion. Would have to see it on a small smart phone screen.

Re: Final Fantasy IX

I just booted it up this morning again and had all of these black rectangles all over the place. Please mention that this is what "broken alpha multipass" looks like. Booting from the main menu prevents this (as you stated), then loading a FPSE save game works just fine. Also the black th...

Re: Final Fantasy IX

I edited my original post, putting in some more info about performance and added a bit about the world map.

Re: Final Fantasy IX

Great idea. I took these with "screenshot it" (which is paid, but that's mainly cause I haven't rooted my phone). This is the OpenGL. I shrank it a bit so it wouldn't be as large. Full size it REALLY makes the difference shine, but even here you can see the huge difference. FF9-FPSE-OpenGL...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I'll try to keep the FF9 talk in my forum post so go check there for more info. I will say here that it runs decent to good, with frameskip its 57-60 FPS and some stuttering when battles are drawn. My moto driod bionic's resolution is 540 x 960. As for OpenGL vs softFPU - it makes a HUGE difference ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

(possible) Bug Report (I don't know if there's a different / better place to report a bug - if so let me know / move this post) iControlPad doesn't work when using OpenGL plugin. Can anyone else confirm? At least, mine doesn't work. It works with the softGPU, but not OpenGL. I've tired it several ti...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

For those interested in FF9 and OpenGL, I've created the following post that talks about issues with FF9 and best setup for OpenGL.

viewtopic.php?f=35&t=433&p=28320#p28320

FF9 looks fantastic in OpenGL (IMHO).

Re: How to share memory card between PC emulator and FPSE

This is a good method, but the only samba file sharing that I've seen requires rooting your phone. What software do you use? To be specific - if you want to share files from your android to your computer, so that your computer can broswe your phone, you need samaba file sharing on your phone. And, t...

Re: Final Fantasy IX

OpenGL notes & compilation of issues First off, common issues : - "can't see HP / MP" - if using default / softgpu turn off frameskip. if using opengl plugin, turn on offscreen drawing. - savestates issues - this happens sometimes. They don't work, or they work but game has problems. ...

Re: Iso folder in Ext card?

some devices actually have their sdcard in a folder named 'sdcard-ext' I have a motorola droid bionic. Motorola tried to prevent issues with mounting and unmounting the external sd storage,so they partioned the internal storage and mounted part of it to a folder under /mnt/sdcard. to access the REAL...
