Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Would it be possible to create additional or just more arbitrary options to the framelitter setting. I ask so you could play games at higher than 1x speed without disabling framelimitting altogether. This would be useful for all video plugins, most especially the software ones where the extra speed ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Very good work! Aside from the unfinished battle swirl effects you mentioned, this works great with FFIX. Unfortunately, I'm still getting license check failures. Unfortunately, it's making the battle menus of FF IX disappear. I seem to recall that being an issue on OpenGL mode too, but there ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

HD software rendering is mostly complete, i want to add shaders on it and add a new shader, the famous bayer dithering. SO expect a beta shortly, surely tomorow. the HD soft rendering is doing a great job.... Cool. I'll be looking forward to trying the new features out some more. This last beta has...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Huh... that sucks. If Mali GPUs just suck then maybe these updates aren't even going to make a difference for me. Still, I would think the multicore change would do... something. Well, the Malis and Adrenos don't suck per se, I think the companies behind them are just quickly releasing crappy drive...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Hm, what do you consider full speed? The game still runs at the right speed with frameskip, but you can see the choppiness between the skipped frames. Are the Nexus 7 and Note 3 that much better for emulating than the Galaxy S3? I don't experience very noticable choppiness on either device, but may...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Nope. I haven't seen any real speed improvements in the last several versions on either my 2012 Nexus 7 or my Note 3; But then again, both seem to run Final Fantasy IX at full speed anyways as long as I use frame skipping. So I'm not suprised I haven't noticed any improvements. For you, it probably ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I thought there was two "OpenGL" modes - OpenGL mode, and Smooth Software mode (which puts an OpenGL filter on Software mode). I was under the impression that the new shaders and multi-core stuff was for Smooth Software mode and only Smooth Software mode. I think that's right. I get prett...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

After some repetition I finally got the screen size to stick. Unfortunately the license verification fails no matter what I've tried. I reset settings, uninstalled and erased every trace of fpse from the system, then reinstalled, and I even tried fixing it by clearing the cache and dalvik cache. Not...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I can't seem to get the "special screen size" option to work with this new shader build. Without the correct aspect ratio the shaders are useless to me. Although, after further investigation it seems to depend on which shader you choose (FXAA works correctly for instance.) Also, for some r...
