Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I can confirm the skipping of graphics stops in FF8 when turning on "Force mono core" in software mode. Screen filtering on is impossible, as FPS drop to unplayable values. However in v29 this problem didn't occur so there are 2 possibilities: either the dual core didn't work at all in v29...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Just rolled back to v29 and the problem doesn't occur anymore. Same rom, same settings. Weird.

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I've noticed that too, you have to turn on the "Skip Fix" option in the video menu! then it's smooth again. Tried that, didn't work. Too bad it makes games unplayable. The image just skips like every second, going back and forth between the current frame and the one a second ago. I should...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Just thought I'd post that Fpse after version 29 messed up my games in software mode. Every 3 seconds during battle, the graphs skip, for example in FF8 when a character moves in to attack, there is still an afterimage of him on the previous spot. I'm on a galaxy nexus with the latest Minco rom (JB ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I can also confirm that in software mode I experience no slowdowns whatsoever on my Galaxy Nexus. Even in OpenGL mode a lot of games work flawlessly. I've been going on about FFIX just because it's one of my all time favorites. But take Ape Escape, for me the best platformer ever made, it works flaw...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Little update on the FFIX discussion, I tried to play with Chainfire 3D but it doesn't make a difference. Tried the 3 different plugins available, but fps in battle still dropped to unplayable amounts. Lowering texture quality just makes it unbearebly ugly. So again, still no solution for my Galaxy ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

For those interested in FF9 and OpenGL, I've created the following post that talks about issues with FF9 and best setup for OpenGL. http://www.fpsece.net/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=433&p=28320#p28320 FF9 looks fantastic in OpenGL (IMHO). Very detailed post, thanks for that. I'm interested ...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

First of all great work to the authors of this program, it's a great piece of software. Second I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong. I have Fpse on my Galaxy Nexus (AOKP + franco.kernel @1317 Mhz GPU @384 Mhz) and I can't seem to get Final Fantasy IX to run properly in OpenGL mode. Firs...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

I've been getting unbearable slow downs in FF9 especially in battles, where the game will pause for a second to render a frame. World map performance is also poor . Great to hear I'm not alone in this xD. For now I'll continue in software, which plays amazingly fast. Let's hope this OpenGl will som...

Re: Fpse for Android Discussion/Feedback

Just checking if I'm the only one that experienced a serious drop in FPS with Final Fantasy IX in OpenGL mode since version 19. I used to be able to get around it with frameskip allowing decent sound and not too heavy stuttering video, however now it's become unplayable. Are there any specific optio...
